I worked with Torpey a sports accessories brand on an athleisure apparel range that was recently launched. I designed a full thirteen piece ready to wear collection consisting of male, female and unisex garments.
I worked on most aspects of the collection from sustainable consulting, liaising with manufacturers, trend forecasting, designing the full collection, fabric and colour choices as well as all the tech packs. From the start the design concept was to create an athleisure collection with sustainability in mind to ensure a low carbon footprint.
With sustainable intelligence at the core of the collection, my ethos is further emphasised through the use of recycled cottons, nylons and natural fabrics such as bamboo and organic cottons.
The collection highlights that you can utilise circular material without compromising on quality whilst enabling a circular approach to design and ultimately contributing to a closed loop economy.
HONEST was carefully developed over a two year period, I deliberated with Torpey on all aspects such as sustainable manufactures, dyeing process and innovative circular materials adhering to a slower more considered approach to counter act fast fashion brands.
